Big B thanks fans and wellwishers

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan who is celebrating his 64th birthday today, came out of his bungalow 'Jalsa' in suburban Mumbai to thank his fans and well wishers for their overwhelming love and affection.

Coming out of his home briefly accompanied by his security personnel, Bachchan raised his hands and folded them in a 'namaste' to the gathered crowd who had come from all parts of the city and country.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said that he was not celebrating his birthday since his ailing mother was in the hospital.

''I will visit her and then be with my family. Abhishek, who is shooting in Madurai, is scheduled to return now'', he said before going back inside.

''I am thankful to my fans and well wishers for their good wishes and would try to fulfil their expectations and entertain them'', he added.
