Agitating TTD employees set deadline

Tirupati, Oct 11 (UNI) The Joint Action Council (JAC) of TTD employees, agitating for allotment of house sites to employees, has set a deadline to the TTD management to sort out the issue before the trust board meeting scheduled tomorrow.

JAC leader C Ramana told UNI the employees would intensify their agitation if the TTD board failed to settle the long pending demands, which included allotment of house sites in TTD owned lands to the employees.

He said the eight convenors of the JAC would observe an indefinite hunger strike from tomorrow if the management fails to agree to their demands.

The district unit of CPI and CPI(M) had pledged their support to the agitation.
