70 new schools for child labourers
Darbhanga, Oct 11: Following a ban on child labour and with the sole motive to educate them, the district administration would start 70 schools for the section across Darbhanga.
District Magistrate Upendra Sharma said here today that a related proposal had been sent to the Union Labour Ministry for its approval. He said all other formalities had been completed and over 3500 child labourers had been identified in the district. Once the ministry gives a green signal, the schools would be set up in 18 blocks of the district.
The DM hoped that with this novel step child labourers would get proper education and other informations which would help in their overall development.
