26 homeguards sent to jail

Hajipur, Oct 11 (UNI) Altogether 26 homeguards were arrested today and sent to jail when they were protesting before the Collectorate here in support of their long pending demands.

Police said the agitating homeguards were arrested for creating obstacles to the government personnel in discharging their duties.

The arrested were agitating before the Collectorate despite the prohibitory orders.

A case in this connection was lodged at Town police station, police added.
