Afzal case: Martyr's widow to return Ashok Chakra

Sikar, Oct 10: The widow of Parliament's Watch and Ward staff J P Yadav, killed foiling the December 13, 2001 attack, Premidevi has threatened to return his medal if the main accused Mohammad Afzal's clemency petition is accepted and his execution stayed.

''I will return the Ashok Chakra conferred on my hustabd posthumously,'' she said.

Premidevi, who resides here, said there was no significance of the bravery award, if the main accused is let off.

Supporting Premidevi, Sikar MP Subhash Mehriya said when Afzal has been convicted by the Supreme Court, there should no further debate on matter.
