Medha Patkar opposes Afzal's execution

Badwani (MP), Oct 10: Opposing execution of Mohammad Afzal Guru in Parliament attack case, Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Medha Patkar today said death penalty amounted to planned murder.

''It was incomprehensible that murder could be solved only through murder'', she told UNI.

Ms Patkar opposed Mohammad Afzal's execution saying she was against the provision for death penalty. Afzal was awarded death penalty in the Parliament attack case.
