Two people die, one serious after consuming drug

Agartala, Oct 9 (UNI) Two persons died and one was critically ill after consuming an overdose of medicine in Tripura's Dhalai district yesterday.

According to police officials the three persons, belonging to Chakma tribes, consumed yesterday an overdose of homeopathic medicine to over come their drug addiction habit.

Two of them succumbed to their illness in the hospital and the other one is in critical condition, hospital authorities said.

Police said the three were drug addicts, However, a case has been registered.

Meanwhile, the medicine samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory for further investigation, police added.
