Troops defuse 25 KG IED in Kishtwar

Jammu, Oct 9 (UNI) Army troops today diffused a 25 kg improved explosive device (IED) planted on the track to a famous temple in Kishtwar Tehsil of Doda district, Army spokesman said.

''Patroll party of Army jawans at 0900 hrs detected a 25 KG IED planted on the track to Sirsil Mata Mandir in Kishtwar, and defused it,'' the spokesman of Army's 16 'White Knight' Corps told UNI.

Sirsil Mata Mandir, sources said, attracts large numbers of devotees daily.
