Sonia to visit HP on October 30

Shimla, Oct 9 (UNI) All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Sonia Gandhi will address a public meeting at Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on October 30 during her one-day visit to the state.

HPCC General Secretary and spokesman Kuldeel Rathore said during her visit to the state, Ms Gandhi would unveil the statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and address a mass public rally at Dharamshala.

She would also interact with party workers and take stock of party activities in the state, he said.

He said party has started mobilisation for the proposed rally, which is also being seen as a run up for the assembly elections, which are a year and a half way.

The party has called a meeting of party workers here on October 15 to chalk out a strategy to make the rally a success, Mr Rathore added.
