Hyderabad, Oct 9 (UNI) The leaders of opposition parties today submitted a memorandum to the Governor demanding a probe into the Outer Ring Road (ORR) project by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court or High Court by October 12.

The parties, including TDP and BJP, apart from the ruling Congress' allies CPI(M) and CPI, said in the memorandum they wanted a probe to be announced by October 12, failing which they would block all four National Highways into the city on that day.

Talking to reporters after handing over the memorandum to the Governor's Secretary, TDP General Secretary Kadiyam Srihari said the delegation urged the Governor not to give his assent for the ordinance on assigned land.

He alleged that the CBI enquiry ordered by Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was just an eyewash. The ORR alignment was changed several times to benefit Congressmen and relatives of top officials, he charged, adding, if Dr Reddy had any sincerity, he should change the Chairman and MD of the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority.
