Notification issued for by polls in Bihar

Patna, Oct 9 (UNI) The election process began for filling up two vacant Lok Sabha seats from Bihar with issue of notification today.

State election office sources said that no candidate have submitted nomination papers today although all arrangements had been made to accept the papers from candidates.

Nomination papers would be acccepted till October 16, and scrutinised the following day, sources said adding the last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 19.

Polling, if necessary, would be held on November six while counting will take place on November 9.

The constituencies going to by-polls are Nalanda and Bhagalpur vacated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi respectively following their return to state politics.
