Nayab tehsildar caught accepting bribe

Varanasi, Oct 9 (UNI) A Nayab Tehsildar posted in the neighbouring Chandauli district was caught red handed by anti-corruption sleuths accepting Rs 9,000 in bribe from a fair price shop owner.

Circle Officer (Anti-Corruption) Nand Lal Yadav said here Rajdeo Singh, a nayab tehsildar in Chandauli district was caught red handed accepting Rs 9,000 in bribe at his house from fair price shop owner Jagropan Kushwaha for restoring the licence of the shop cancelled earlier on charges of irregularities.

A case has been registered against the nayab tehsildar under the provisions of Anti-Corruption Act.
