Nanavati panel tells JSM to make available CD data

Ahmedabad, Oct 9 (UNI) Nanavati Shah Commission today asked the Jan Sangharsh Manch to submit all the data it has pertaining to the CDs that had been submitted to the commission by senior police officer Rahul Sharma.

The order came in response to the objections raised by the government counsel P Nanavati on the authenticity of the CDs.

The CDs contained records of mobile phone calls made and received by top politicians, government officials and police officers during the riots of March 2002 that broke out soon after the Godhra incident.

Mr Sharma had submitted the two CDs to the commission during his deposition in 2004.

Jan Sangarsh Manch advocate Mukul Sinha told the commission that he would submit all the data by October 14. He had submitted 43 names of politicians, government officials and police officers earlier.
