N Ravi appointed Secretary in MEA

New Delhi, Oct 9: Mr N Ravi, presently Ambassador to Vietnam, has been appointed Secretary at the headquarters of the External Affairs Ministry, a senior official said today.

Mr Ravi, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1973 batch, has been appointed in the vacancy which had arisen on October 1.

''The Appoiontments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment, on transfer, of Mr N Ravi (IFS, 1973 batch) presently Ambassador to Vietnam, as Secretary in the Headquarters of the MEA in the vacancy which has arisen on October one,'' the official said.
