More Unions decides to strike

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (UNI) Close on the heels of the recognised National Mazdoor Union and Staff and Workers Federation serving a strike notice, other major unions, including the APSRTC Employees Union, today decided follow suit on October 13.

The NMU which first served the notice on October 3 to strike work anytime after October 18, was asked take all unions into confidence and form a Joint Action Committee (JAC) to make the agitation a sucess, APSRTC Employees Union Working President N A Khan told reporters.

Staff and Workers Federation had served strike notice on October four.

The worker's demands included at least 20 per cent wage hike and regularisation of casual employees.
