Kumaraswamy condoles Kanshiram's demise

Bangalore, Oct 9 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today condoled the death of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) founder leader Kanshiram who passed away in New Delhi late last night.

In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said the departed leader was known for waging unrelenting fight against the oppression of backward classes and farmers and had strived to bring about social reformation of the Indian society.

In his death the country had lost a towering leader who stood for the betterment in the lives of people belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, Mr Kumaraswamy said in a statement issued here today.
