Kanshi Ram's death irreparable loss to BSP: Mulayam

Lucknow, Oct 9: Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today condoled the death of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) founder Kanshi Ram last night.

In his condolence message, Mr Yadav said his death was an irreparable loss to the BSP. ''It is also a great loss to me...I was very close to him personally.'' Talking about Kanshi Ram's achievements, the CM said he had worked for the uplift of the downtrodden, particularly the dalits.

''His commitment for the community will be remembered forever,'' Mr Yadav observed.

The CM maintained he, alongwith Kanshi Ram, had worked together to fight for a change in the social order.
