Japan cannot confirm NKorea nuclear test

SEOUL, Oct 9: Japan has not confirmed whether North Korea has conducted a nuclear test, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said during a visit to Seoul today.

Abe told reporters Japan was gathering and analysing information on the situation. North Korea said in its official media it had carried out an underground nuclear test today.
