IFC's Global Head, Mr Thunell, visits India

New Delhi, Oct 9: On his first visit to India, Mr Lars H Thunell, Global head of International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, arrived here today.

During his visit, he is expected to seek better understanding of the Indian markets while outing fresh investment in newer business areas.

In his week-long stay in India, he would meet senior officials in the corporate sector and the government where he would explore avenues of fulfilling IFCs commercial ad development mandates.

Mr Thunell shall also interact with some of the existing partners in business and encourage them to make use of IFCs expertise in the areas of corporate governance, social responsibility and other world wide best practices that it brings to its parters worldwide.
