Balaghat, MP, Oct 9 (UNI) An inquiry has been ordered into the death of a six-year-old girl student, who fell into a vessel containing piping-hot vegetable, official sources said today.

Collector Gulshan Bamra directed strict action against those found guilty in the inquiry.

Kavita, a class I student, was standing in a queue to receive mid-day meal, on October 7, when she fell into the vessel when she was pushed from behind.

She was rushed to hospital but succumbed to her injuries last evening.

Kavita's father Manoj Hirwane said strict action must be taken against responsible teachers so that a similar incident does not recur.

He said instead of being served meals, students were made to stand in a queue for the food during which slight commotion routinely ensued.
