Eastern Air Commands celebrates platinum year

Shillong, Oct 09 (UNI) Air Force Day was celebrated here with pomp and gaiety by personnel of the Eastern Air Command (EAC) headquarters here.

Marking year-long Platinum Jubilee celebrations, a pledge-taking ceremony was held at the EAC headquarters where personnel and civilian staff renewed their pledge to serve the nation with full devotion, dedication and integrity.

The pledge was administered to all officers, men, personnel and civilians by Air Marshal F.H.Major and Air Officer Commanding-in-chief of the EAC. Messages from the President, Vice President, chief of air staff were also read out on the occasion.

In his address, Air Marshal congratulated all ranks and families of EAC. He also urged the personnel of the headquarters to continue their services to the nation with sincerity and be ready to go to any extent for the country whenever called upon.

The AOC C-in-C also presented the chief of air staff's commendations to the recipients.
