Concern over mosquito borne disease

Agartala, Oct 9: The Tripura branch of Association of Physicians of India (API) has expressed concern over mosquito borne diseases like malaria, dengue and chikungunia in the country.

The API state branch alerted the people of the state to be cautious. However, there are no reports of any dengue, chikungunia diseases except the malaria in the state. All kind of possible precautionary measures would be taken.

Speaking to mediapersons last evening in this connection about the two-day sixth annual state conference from October 14, Physicians, including Chairman of the organisation DR P K Datta said about 20 crore people of the country would suffer from diabetes in next 20 years.

State Governor Dinesh Nandan Sahaya will inaugurate the conference.
