CPI(M) activists on hunger strike in custody
Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh police today took into custody CPI(M) activists who were on indefinite fast, demanding safe drinking water to meet the flouride menace, as the health of several agitators had detoriorated on the fifth day of the strike.
In an early morning swoop, police raided the hunger strike camp and shifted the strikers whose health condition was serious to government hospital.
Police had taken others into custody and later released them on personal bonds.
