CPI (Maoist) sub-zonal commander arrested

Garwah, Oct 9 (UNI) A ''sub zonal commander'' of the proscribed outfit CPI (Maoist) was arrested from Khuthua More under Ranka police station area of Jharkhand's Garwah district.

Suprintendent of Police Mohammad Nehal today said here that acting on a tip off, police yesterday arrested Devendra Paswan alias Vishal when he went to attend a meeting called by a zonal commander.

Mr Nehal said Devendra was a native of Boullia village under Meral police station of the district and was wanted in eight criminal cases, including four murder cases.
