Bangalore, Oct 9 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today.
Heavy Rainfall Warning:Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka during next 48 hours.
Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over North Interior Karnataka. Ankola recorded very heavy rainfall of 13 cms.
Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Honnali 12; Bangarpet 10; Gerusoppa, Honavar, Doddaballapura, H.B.Halli, 7 each.
Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Kumta, Panchanahalli, Mulbagal, Srinivasapura, C.N.Halli, Koratagere, 6 each; Yellapura, Ron, Lakkavalli, Chikballapur, Tumkur 5 each; Karwar, Gadag, Linganamakki. Agumbe, Chintamani, Gubbi, Sira 4 each.
Maximum temperatures fell at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were normal over the State.
Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 33.4 deg.Celsius and Mysore recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19.2 deg. Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Wednesday morning:Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over Uttara Kannada district: at many places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Mysore, Hassan, Mandya, Chamarajnagara, Kolar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Bellary, Davanagere, Chitradurga and Tumkur districts. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of the State.
