19 Hurt in CPM-RSS Clash

Kozhikode,Oct 9: As many as 19 persons were injured, two of them seriously, in a clash between the CPI(M) and RSS activists near koilandi in the district last night.

Police said verbal dual between the activits over an RSS sakha at the CPI(M) stronghold at Muchukunnu, turned in to the clash.

The injured were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College and the Koilandi Government hospital.

A large posse of police force headed by Koilandi Circle Inspector Sreenivasan was camping at the area.

Meanwhile, the CPI(M) has called for a harthal in the locality in protest against the incident.
