Vanniya youth murdered

Villupuram , Oct 8 (UNI) Tension prevailed in and around Kandamanadi village, following the alleged murder of a Vanniya youth by a group of Dalits here today.

Sivanesan, hailing from a Adidravida Colony, picked up a quarell with one Senthil (30), after the latter was hit by the former's bicycle, police said.

As the quarell aggravated, both indulged in physical assault.

Following this, Sivanesan went to his village and came back with more people and attacked Senthil.

On lookers rushed Senthil to Government Hospital here, where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Police had posted additional forces to avoid out break of fresh violence.

Police were on the look out for the assailants, who were said to be absconding.
