ULFA militant injured in encounter

Guwahati, Oct 8 (UNI) An ULFA militant was injured in a police encounter at Dibrugarh town in Upper Asom today.

Police informed that the encounter took place near the Dibrugarh medical college and hospital at 1215 hours.

The injured militant, identified as Keshab Saikia alias Kosu, was nabbed while others managed to escape.

No policemen were injured in the firing.

One electronic detonator was recovered from the slain militant.
