Three children drowned in Bijapur district

Bijapur, Oct 08 (UNI) In a freak incident three children went to take bath in a pond, which was full due to last night incessant rains were drowned at Thangadagi village in Muddebihal taluk this morning.

According to police sources the ill-fated children identified as Raghaendra (10), Suresh (06) and Sunil (12) drowned in the small pond which was full with water due to heavy rain received last night.

The incident took place at about 0700 hrs and all were found dead when the villagers rushed to the spot and tried to rescue them, the sources added.
