Sanil, Poulomi clinch titles

Vijayawada, Oct 8 (UNI) Unseeded player Sanil Shetty of Maharashtra and top seed Poulomi Ghatak of PSPB today won the titles in men and women singles events in the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship played here.

In finals, though Sanil initially faced tough resistance from 12th seed Pathik Mehta of Gujarat, he outplayed him with 11-5,11-6,6-11,8-11,11-6,11-7 to clinch the men singles title.

Poulomi defeated second seed Mouma Das of PSPB with 11-8,5-11,11-9,9-11,11-4,11-9 to clinch the women singles title.

Eighth seed Shubham Sarma of Andhra Pradesh subdued V Nitin of PSPB 11-3,12-14,11-9,11-9,11-6 to emerge winner in the junior boys singles final.

In the junior girls final, fourth seed Divya Deshpande of Maharashtra defeated second seed Prajakta Tipale of PSPB 11-4,11-7,6-11,11-6,6-11,11-6 to clinch the junior girls title.
