Police frees three-year-old boy kidnapped boy

Surat, Oct 8 (UNI) The city police freed three year old boy, who was kidnapped from Bamroli in the city on September 18, from a village in Orissa, sources said.

According to Udhna police, Deepak, son of Jagannath Babu Behra, from Orissa, in was kidnapped by Santhosh Jagannath, on September 18.

The kidnapper demanded Rs 18,000 as ransom.

Jagannath Behra lodged a complaint with Udhna police and found that the boy was taken to Balipur in Ganjam, Orissa.

Udhna police with the help of its orissa counterpart, traced the boy from the village.

Santhosh was arrested by Udhna police and brought to Surat yesterday.
