No question of rejoining BJP: Uma
Pilibhit, Oct 8: Bhartiya Janshakti President and expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti has rejected any possibility of returning to the BJP fold.
Talking to mediapersons here last night, Ms Bharti said BJP is her bitter past and there is no question of joining the party again.
On being asked whether BJP MP from Pilibhit constituency Menaka Gandhi is likely to join her party, she asked the people to wait and watch.
''BJP came to power by singing hymns of Lord Ram and forgot Him after coming to power. To regain party's lost glory, some leaders are singing hymns of Jinnah-- the man responsible for the partition,'' the firebrand leader said.
Expressing concern over the dismal law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, she said corruption and crime have risen in the rule of Samajwadi Party regime.
She added UP chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is least concerned about the grievances of farmers and is only interested in providing undue profits to big industrialists.
''Over the years, SP has gone astray and if Dr Ram Manohar Lohia was alive, he would have felt immensely hurt.'' the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister stated.
She alleged Mr Mulayam Singh was blindly supporting the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
Slamming the Congress Party, she said its leaders are dancing on the tune of an ''foreign'' lady.
