Mangalore: 1 more person dies in fresh violence

Mangalore, Oct 8: With the death of one more person in fresh violence that erupted tonight in Polali on the outscript of the city. the death toll in the communal clashes rose to two.

According to official sources, a group of people attacked an ambulance with lethal weapons in which six people were travelling.

The group dragged out the passenger and assaulted them before setting the vehicle on fire.

All the injured were admitted to a private hospital where one person succumbed to his injuries.

Tension engulfed the Polali area where additional police force had been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, the police added.
