Huts washed away in sea erosion

Chennai, Oct 8 (UNI) Two huts were washed away at Thalangkuppam fishermen hamlet here near suburb Ennore due to sea erosion early today.

Official sources said, since late last midnight, the sea was very rough and the fishermen shifted to a safer place leaving their personal belongings behind.

Two huts including fishing equipments and nets were washed away.

No casualty was reported, the sources said.

However, the sea remained calm today.
