Heavy rush continues in Tirumala

Tirumala (Andhra Pradesh), Oct 8: The rush at Tirumala for Darshan of Lord Venkateswara continued even after nine days Brahmothavam festival, in view of the week-end holidays.

Talking to UNI here Prabhkar Reddy, Deputy Executive Officer said Maha Laghu Darshan (Distance Darshan) was set-up to cope up with the rush.

Mr Reddy said Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam (TTD) authorites had also cancelled VIP break-darshan, while restricting the cellar tickets, to avoid inconvenience to the devotees, waiting for free darshan.

However, the waiting time for the devotees opting for Rs 50 special entrance tickets had been prolonged to 80 hrs, while free darshan timings strectched beyond 100 hrs, he added.
