DMK indulging in atrocities against opposition: Jayalalithaa
Chennai, Oct 8: AIADMK Supremo and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today said the DMK government was indulging in atrocities against the opposition, especially the cadres of AIADMK.
In a statement here today, she described it as 'too much of dictatorship and the last chapter of the terror game' played by DMK.
She alleged that by forgetting the fate of dictators of the past Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was going all out by doing misdeeds through his party men.
She said number of AIADMK cadres, including the party's candidate for the Madurai Central Assembly by-poll Rajan Chellappa, former Ministers Madhusudhanan and Somasundaram were attacked with the active connivance of the police.
She alleged that the police was not ready to take any action against such offences.
The police under the guise of search, raided a hotel room of AIADMK office bearers at Madurai and seized their personal belongings. The ruling DMK men had also threatened the AIADMK cadres inside police stations. The DMK men also damaged several vehicles including Mr Rajan Chellappa's car in the presence of police, she charged.
She said the people were waiting for their turn to teach the DMK a lesson.
Meanwhile, she dismissed as many as 107 party men of Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Dharmapuri, Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli and Ramanathapuram for allegedly deviating from the party rules and regulations and working against the party in the local bodies election field.
