Dainik Bhaskar launched from Punjab
Jalandhar, Oct 8: Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today launched the Jalandhar and Amritsar editions of Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar.
Union Minister of State for Urban Developmnent Ajay Maken, former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Punjab ministers Surinder Singhla, Chaudhary Jagjit Singh and Avtar Henry, Zee TV Chairman Subhash Chandra, Bhaskar Group's Chairman Ramesh Chandra Agrawal, Jalandhar MP, Rana Gurjit Singh and several dignitaries from various walks of life were present.
Bhaskar Group's chairman Mr Agrawal said that the paper was being launched in Punjab today with an initial circulation of over 1,76,000 copies. He said that Bhaskar was being published from nine states of the country and enjoying a group readership of 2.65 crore.
The Bhaskar Group is a Rs 2000 crore business conglomerate with presence in newspapers, television, entertainment, printing, textiles, FMCG, oils and solvents and internet services, Mr Agrawal added.
