Silver, gold improve on fresh demand

Mumbai, Oct 7: Spot silver and gold improved on fresh demand in the closing session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association today said.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 17,890 (17,780) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,550 (8,520) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 8,600 (8,570).
