Precision Techserve launches RIM facility

Chennai, Oct 7 (UNI) Precision Techserve Private Limited, a part of US dollars 35 million Precision Group, has launched its Remote Infrastructure Management Services (RIM).

The RIM was launched by GE Commercial, Finance-India President and CEO Tejreet Singh Chopra at a function last night.

The RIM would ensure that complex IT networkig problems in any part of the globe could be remotely monitored and solved at Precision Techserve's world class facility, Global Competency Center (GCC) in the city.

Precision Techserve Founder and CEO P Ramesh said the company had invested around 1.5 million US dollars in creating the 14,000 sq ft, 90-seater GCC, which would act as the nerve centre for the Remote IT Infrastucture Management Service Delivery.

About 300 certified professionals would be employed over a period of six months to offer 24x7 support to clients.

The GCC was built to exacting global standards for a tier-3 data center.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chopra exhorted the company and its team of professionals to face the emerging challenges and become the next Infosys or Wipro of the country.

"India today stands tall amongst all countries in the world as far as IT and ITES services are concerned. Almost all service done at the international level has shown that this boom is likely to go on for many more years. But to take clear advantages, India has to continuously upgrade its infrastructure so as to be the best in the world", he added.

Mr V M Muralidharan, Director and President, Precision Techserve said the GCC's physical security infrastructure included biometric access control, IP surveillance and 24x7 security.
