Nagathan receives 8 cm rain

Bangalore, Oct 7 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hrs here today.

Monsoon was weak over South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka.

Heavy heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Nagathan 8; Indi 7.

Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Sindagi, Saigoan, Afzalpur 4 each; Kumta, Talikote, Deverahippargi, Chincholi, Turuvegere, Agumbe 3 each; Londa, Alland, Jeewargi, Deodurg, Raichur, Bhagamandala 2 each.

Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka and they were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Minimum temperatures changed little and were normal over the State.

Bellary recorded highest maximum temperature of 34.0 degree Celsius and Belgaum AP recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.8 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at many places over Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, districts, at a few places over Belgaum, Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bijapur, Koppal, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Kodagu, Bellary districts and at isolated places over remaining districts of the State.

Forecast for Bangalore: Generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain likely towards evening/night. Maximum&minimum temperatures would be around 30 degree Celsius and 21 degree Celsius respectively.
