Monsoon retreating, sultry climate: Met

Kolkata, Oct 7 (UNI) Hot and sultry weather continued to bother Kolkatans as Monsoon bids adieu to West Bengal.

The Met department said there were no more signs of rains and the monsoon had started retrogressing.

Officially though, the monsoon should retreat after October 11, they added.

Today's maximum temperature was 34 degree Celsius and the minimum remained at 27 degree Celsius.

The relative humidity was 97 per cent.
