Mild tremors experienced in Badwani

Badwani, MP, Oct 7 (UNI) Frightened by a spate of mild tremors and rumbling between yesterday afternoon and last night in Panchpula Dakshin village at Silavad area in this district of Madhya Pradesh, villagers reached the police station.

''A team of government officials, led by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) and police, were dispatched to the village. The team advised the villagers to exercise patience,'' Collector Arun Tiwari said.

He informed that such incidents were being reported from Silavad area since the past few days from 0800 hrs to 1000 hrs.

People were advised to take rest outside their homes due to irregular timing of mild tremors and rumblings.

The exact measure of intensity was not known, as employees of the Narmada Project Seismographic Station of the Gujarat Government were gone outside.

The Collector said the state government had been informed about the incident and urging them to send a team of experts to analyse and know the effect of these tremors.
