Tusker tramples milk vendor

Madikeri, Karnataka, Oct 6 (UNI) A tusker trampled a milk vendor, injuring him seriously, at Maldare in the hilly Kodagu district of Karnataka.

Police said Chengappa (51) was taken by surprise by the elephant which hurled him off his cycle when he set out to supply milk.

He was immediately admitted to the Madikeri hospital.

District Surgeon Dr Palekar said the victim was out of danger and had suffered multiple fractures and injuries.
