NCC cadet drowns during boating training

Udupi, Oct 6: A college girl, who had embarked on training in boating along with nine other NCC cadets, drowned in Udyavar river, near here, yesterday after she slipped from the boat, police today said.

Police said the cadet was identified as Bhavyashree, studying BSc final year at MGM college here.

The ten cadets, including three girls, had gone for the training and the mishap occurred when she switched places in the boat, police added.
