Mumbai's development to get impetus

Mumbai, Oct 6 (UNI) With barely four months left for the crucial Mumbai civic elections, a tripartite MoU between Maharashtra Government, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Centre to strengthen the basic infrastructure in Mumbai under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) will be signed tommorrow.

The MoU will be signed for Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project and Middle Vaitarana at 'Varsha', Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh's fficial residence tommorrow at 1000 hrs, sources said.

The sewage disposal project will upgrade the century old sewage system in the city and suburbs while Middle Vaitarana will improve the drinking water supply to Mumbai.
