Mihir files case against Star Network hackers

Bhilwara, Oct 6 (UNI) A court here lodged cases against six people who hacked into the Star Plus network and sold secret codes for Rs 21 lakhs.

Television actor Amar Upadhaya's company Mihir Virani Multigrade Pvt Ltd, on behalf of Star Plus network, filed a petition in the local court here yesterday complaining that local residents and maintenance incharge Dipak Patodia and his five other friends accessed an important and confidential file of Star Network and sold 25,000 secret codes worth Rs seven crore to another person for Rs 21 lakh. The other accused in the case are Vikram Singh, Rajat Sharma, Rekha, Sunita and Sanjay Kumar.

Star Plus has accused their maintenance incharge of misappropriation of funds in the petition filed in the court. The court heard the ex-parte proceedings and asked the Subhash Nagar police station to lodge cases against the accused.
