JD(U) MLA surrenders, sent to jail
Aurangabad Bihar, Oct6 (UNI) JD(U) MLA Sunil Pandey and his accomplice Butrus Tiwari today surrendered before a local court and were later sent to the jail in connection with an extortion case.
Mr Pandey and Tiwari surrendered before Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Arun Kumar Sharma he ordered that the two be taken into judicial custody.
JD (U) MLA had demanded extortion from a deputy manager of a firm engaged in rural electrification programme in September here.
A case had been registered with town police station in this regard.
