India shared evidence with US on Mumbai blasts
New Delhi, Oct 6: India has shared with the US the evidence about Pakistan's involvement in the July 11 Mumbai bomb blasts.
''We have had discussions on the events and the evidence,'' US Ambassador to India David Mulford told reporters here today.
He was asked whether India had discussed with him the evidence about Pakistan's involvement in the Mumbai bomb explosions, which claimed about 200 lives. Mumbai police recently said they had evidence about Pakistan's involvement in the explosions.
In reply to a question, the US Ambassador said that the discussions were held after Mumbai Police's claims.
Expressing Washington's commitment to fight terrorism anywhere and in any form, Mr Mulford said ''we find terrorism anywhere unacceptable whenever it occurs and wherever it occcurs. We ae totally against it.'' He said both countries--the US and India--would work to defeat it and in past aalso, the US had offered assistance to India.
''Where we are today, we are going very well,'' he added while speaking in the context of fighting terrorism.
