Central Excise Officials conduct raid on Balaji Wafers

Rajkot, Oct 6 (UNI) The Central Excise Officals conducted a raid on Balaji wafers unit here and detected the duty evasion.

The team led by Additional Commissioner of Central Excise conducted a raid on Balaji Wafers unit at Metoda, about 10 kms from here in Industrial area yesterday and found irregularities in maintaining registrations.

They detected the duty evasion amounting to Rs 5.84 crore.

Meanwhile, another team has conducted a raid at the manufacting unit of Sonam Clock Private Limited near Morbi, about 70 kms from here and detected tax evasion of Rs 12 lakh, official sources said.
