BJYM workers released
Bhopal, Oct 6 (UNI) A day after being arrested for assaulting a traffic inspector and other police officials during senior BJP leader L K Advani's arrival at Bairagarh airport here, four Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers were today released on bail, police said today.
BJYM district president Rahul Rajput had entered into an argument with traffic inspector Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi when Bhopal Municipal Corporation Chairman Ramdayal Prajapati's vehicle was not allowed to join Mr Advani's cavalcade.
Mr Raghuvanshi allegedly hit the BJYM leader with his walkie talkie.
Later, BJYM workers misbehaved with police officials and assaulted them besides breaking window panes of Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Verma's jeep.
A case was registered against ten accused on Mr Raghuvanshi's complaint.
Superintendent of Police Anant Kumar Singh said besides the BJYM district president, Rajkumar Dubey, Pankaj and Kamal were arrested late last night.
Police sources said the accused were arrested under sections 353, 332, 186 and 427 of the IPC. The accused were granted bail as these sections are bailable.
